ITINERARY

DAY 1

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be transferred to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day exploring the vibrant streets of Thamel or visiting historical sites like Kathmandu Durbar Square. In the evening, attend a pre-trek briefing.

DAY 2

Day 2: Fly to Nepalgunj

Take a scenic one-hour flight to Nepalgunj, a city in western Nepal near the Indian border. Spend the evening exploring the local markets and enjoying traditional Nepali cuisine.

DAY 3

Day 3: Fly to Jumla & Trek to Danphe Langa (3,500m)

Take a morning flight to Jumla, the starting point of the trek. Begin trekking through small villages and lush forests, gradually ascending to Danphe Langa. The trek offers stunning views of Jumla town and the surrounding hills.

DAY 4

Day 4: Trek from Danphe Langa to Chautha (2,770m)

Descend through pine and rhododendron forests, crossing small streams and picturesque meadows. Arrive in Chautha, a small settlement with traditional houses and teahouses where you will stay overnight.

DAY 5

Day 5: Trek from Chautha to Dhotu (2,380m)

Continue trekking through lush forests, crossing suspension bridges and steep ridges. Along the way, encounter local shepherds and yaks grazing in the meadows. Reach Dhotu, a serene village offering magnificent mountain views.

DAY 6

Day 6: Trek from Dhotu to Rara Lake (2,990m)

Ascend gradually towards the breathtaking Rara Lake, passing through alpine meadows and dense woods. Upon arrival, witness the mesmerizing blue waters of the lake, reflecting the snow-capped mountains in the distance. Spend the evening camping or staying at a local lodge near the lake.

DAY 7

Day 7: Explore Rara Lake & Visit Murma Viewpoint

Spend the day exploring the surroundings of Rara Lake. Hike up to Murma Viewpoint for panoramic views of the lake, rolling hills, and distant Himalayan peaks. Enjoy a boat ride on the pristine waters of the lake, and explore the diverse flora and fauna of Rara National Park.

DAY 8

Day 8: Trek from Rara Lake to Pina (2,440m)

Begin the return journey, descending through the forests and scenic landscapes towards Pina. This is a charming village with traditional houses and warm hospitality.

DAY 9

Day 9: Trek from Pina to Jumla

Continue trekking through small settlements and terraced fields, eventually reaching Jumla. Celebrate the completion of the trek with a warm meal and a comfortable night’s rest.

DAY 10

Day 10: Fly from Jumla to Nepalgunj & Kathmandu

Take an early morning flight from Jumla to Nepalgunj, then connect to a flight back to Kathmandu. Spend the evening relaxing or exploring the city.

DAY 11

Day 11: Kathmandu Sightseeing

Explore the UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Kathmandu, including Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), Pashupatinath Temple, and Boudhanath Stupa. Shop for souvenirs and enjoy a farewell dinner.

DAY 12

Day 12: Departure

Transfer to the airport for your flight back home or onward journey.
